After studying film and working for some of the top producers in Los Angeles, Fabrice Lachant got bored of Hollywood, moved to unknown territory in London and decided to get into photography instead. He dabbled with documentary and art photography for a while before doing an MA in Fashion Photography at the University of the Arts London and beginning work in this field. He has now been a photographer for six years and thinks London's Calling will be great exposure.

Semra Haksever is a freelance stylist and fashion editor of clubbing magazine Mixmag. She once ran a label called La Mullet in Australia and discovered her interest in styling while working on a photoshoot with her own designs. She moved back to London and assisted Gok Wan for two years before going out on her own. She loves the idea of people being pulled together in such a random way and is proud to be part of a project that showcases new talent.

Make-up artist Steven Canavan has been honing his craft within the glamorous world of fashion for the past 10 years. Always fascinated by beauty and photography he studied in Germany, assisted renowned make-up pro Karim Rahman for three years and has since worked for clients including Celine, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and L'Oreal, and created editorial for European editions of Vogue, Marie Claire and Dazed & Confused. He loves his job and applied to London's Calling as another means of broadening his horizons.

Seungjue Rhews will be assisting stylist Semra Haksever on the London's Calling shoot. Having just started her own career as a stylist she believes she is on the path to her dream job. Over the last nine months she has worked at retailer American Apparel, an experience that she says helped her learn how to dress people in very basic clothes differently. She is excited to work with people who share a similar passion for what they do.

German designer Anja Seeberg has been creating handcrafted headpieces, small top hats and fascinators since 2004. She works with a variety of materials and colours to produce her unique styles. For her, London's Calling is an opportunity to get great photographs of her products in order to use them on her website and for her own marketing activities. She also thinks it's a great chance to both meet and support other Nineteen74.com members.

Eva-Marie Becker has worked as a model for the past two years, an activity that started out as simply something to do alongside her studying. Being in front of the camera is something she has always loved however and the professional team pulled together for London's Calling will be a new experience for her. She hopes her contribution to the shoot will help bring outstanding results that will be worthy of where they are to be published.

Having fallen into the knitwear department of a German company almost by chance, Marianne Velde spent 10 years learning on-the-job. In spring 2007, she launched her own label. Finding unexpected ways of working with knit is her forte; she likes to experiment with surface, shape and pattern. London's Calling provides her with the chance to see how other people view her work and she loves the idea of so much creativity coming together in one “melting pot”.

Coming from a family of jewellers, Ajajya Verma was fascinated by gems and colour from an early age. For him, creating unique pieces of jewellery, that people can be attached to and keep for life, epitomises the jewellery-making trade. He is excited to be part of such an interesting project and hopes it will help him fulfil his dream of designing for some of the most exclusive people in the world.

Neely Shearer is one of the news writers on Nineteen74.com. Her background includes a degree in journalism and advertising, from which she went on to start a magazine in Japan, followed by a travel service, a clothing line called Issho and eventually, Xin, a boutique in Los Angeles, meaning she has experience that stretches broadly across the whole industry. She says that it's Nineteen74's fresh, forward thinking approach to online networking that has her want to be a part of everything they do.

Dana Weekley draws unique kaleidoscopic images with ink, evolving them into mystical patterns filled with expansive energy. She then prints them onto fabric and other products. She hopes to collaborate with a fashion designer in order to create high-energy apparel. In a bid to find the perfect partner, she loves the idea of connecting with an “international network of like-minded fashion people”, as at Nineteen74.com, and is looking forward to meeting the other creatives involved in this project.

Nicholas Hardy is the director of Factory 311, the creative agency that specialises in creating “cool concepts and inspiring images” for the music and fashion industries, and the co-organisers of London's Calling. His work is always about doing something new and different, which is exactly what this project sounded like it would be when Nineteen74.com's Raoul Keil approached him about it. He believes there is a huge amount of raw talent out there and can't wait for everyone involved in this to show London what they can do.

French-born model Joe Bofunda has been posing in front of the camera professionally for almost nine years. Based in London, he has also worked in New York and Paris, and had the honour of being snapped by established photographers including Ernest Collins, Tarrice Love, Thomas Synnamon and Jean Quelquejeu. He is also a street jazz dancer and hopes the experience of London's Calling will be both a fun and rewarding one.

As founder of Nineteen74.com, which only launched in May this year and already boasts members on a truly global scale, Raoul Keil is all about providing a platform through which the world can see new talent. London's Calling is an offshoot project that acts as both a fantastic opportunity for a handful of the British capital's creatives to be showcased, and a demonstration of the website's own potential. For him, it is also the beginning of what he hopes will be many similar projects internationally.

Louise Holland says she loves anything and everything to do with the world of fashion and music. Having wanted to work in the industry since the age of 10, she is now design director for a high street supplier and has in the past had her own collection. Currently, however, she is focused on the band she is in, and, more relevantly, the modelling she does, meaning she is extremely excited for London's Calling and her place in front of the camera for it.

Karsten Sollors fell into modelling when, at a party in Montreal, a girl asked him to be the face of a campaign she was shooting that very night. Next thing he knew, he was signed to an agency and now he travels the world posing for all sorts of different photographers. His clients have included Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Hugo Boss, but he'd love to work for the likes of John Galliano or Vivienne Westwood, and be on the cover of magazines such as 10men or Numero.

South African-based Elizabeth Janse van Rensburg is the founder and creative director of Chew, the interactive electronic magazine, which also happens to be the publication that will host results of the London's Calling shoot. Chew was created because Elizabeth felt creatives needed a global platform through which they could experiment, explore and have fun with their work. As her main aim with Chew is to promote talented people in interesting and innovative projects, this collaboration with Nineteen74.com couldn't be much better aligned.

French photographer Justino Esteves has been working in the industry for the past two years. Now based in London, he has assisted established photographers Thomas Giddings and Fabrice Lachant, which he explains as being like seeing the world through two different eyes. Having learnt a great deal about his craft and developed his own style, he has now begun working on his own accord. For London's Calling he will be assisting Lachant.

Pierre Doucin is the creative director at Factory 311, the agency that co-organised this project. His role lies in working with the images once they've been shot. He has been in digital art for three years, before which all he knew was graffiti, and truly believes it is his passion. He can't wait to see the London's Calling photographs and the energy they possess, and is already eager to inject his own creativity onto them too.

Graphic designer Elle Moss has run her own branding and design company for over three years. Personally interested in the role of logos and more specifically how branding effects decision-making, she trained in visual communications from 18, and has worked in the industry for 10 years since. For her, London's Calling is about getting to work with like-minded, motivated people, while being provided with an incredible opportunity to showcase her work.

Brand new to the industry is Neil Bennet, a male model who has only just begun to get involved with the fashion world. Having sent his pictures to several agencies, and so far had a good response, he is currently just “seeing what happens” with the work. London's Calling provides him with the perfect opportunity to build his portfolio and he is already excited to see what the end result will be.

Ava Bergmann was a full-time model until a road traffic accident in 2007, which saw her needing five back surgeries and left her in a coma, changed her career path. While in recovery a film producer and director approached her about co-writing a script for a short film about her life. “Ava”, in which she plays herself, is almost finished and they hope to submit it to the Cannes International Film Festival. As well as studying again, Ava is now also finding time to model once more.

Leslie Safley started out with a small floral design business a few years ago, which blossomed into her own jewellery line. Her intention is to provide designs that are gracefully simple, but with a twist. She uses sterling silver, rose gold, coppers and brass with bits of African coil or Italian hand-blown beads included. She is looking forward to seeing new and exciting fashion at the London's Calling shoot and believes it will be a rewarding experience.

Aude Lesur has worked in the industry for eight years spanning roles including buyer, pattern cutter and eventually, designer. Last year she created her own menswear label, Credau, as a response to guys asking for something different and never knowing where to find it. For ethical reasons, the brand is made entirely in the UK. Having not had the opportunity to experiment with the versatility of her clothes, she is excited to see how other people interpret them for this shoot.

Trousers London is a new premium organic jeans label that launched during London Fashion Week in February this year. Having spotted a gap in the market, the team of four creatives behind it pushed the idea forward to create what they refer to as an experimental, ambitious and future-focused line. London's Calling for them means an opportunity to expose themselves to new audiences and gain some great imagery of their product.

Karl Slater entered London's Calling as a means of showing the world what his men's t-shirt brand, Perfectly Flawed, is all about. Focusing on statement graphics and bold colours, the line has a fresh and raw feel to it, which is reflective of the creative and expressive freedom he brings to it. This project marks the beginning of what he hopes will lead to his own catwalk show, his own boutique, and eventually his own fashion empire.

Wong Wai Ling's work takes a contrasting look at both western and eastern cultures. A womenswear designer, she always likes to show the confusion and yet harmony of different nations through her creations as a means of presenting a world without discrimination. She thinks London's Calling will be another way for her to learn more about new cultures and she is enthusiastic about seeing her designs portrayed in different ways.

Rachel Arthur is assistant style, media and beauty editor at WGSN, the global leader in style trend analysis. Coming from a fashion management background, topped up by a postgrad in journalism and experience across various magazines and newspapers, she is fully immersed in the industry and loves to write about it from every angle. For her, this project is a great opportunity to meet creative people from all walks of life and get her work published alongside theirs in another exciting international title.

Having studied art at university and then gone on to be a model, Krystal G felt progressing into being a hair and make-up artist was a natural move. She qualified in both skills, assisted other people and has now worked in the industry for herself for just under a year. She is excited to see how such like-minded people work together in this project and she's sure they will all help create a masterpiece.
